Identity. Ipamorelin is the pentapeptide Aib-His-D-2Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 (mass near 711 Da), a selective ghrelin-receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist / growth-hormone secretagogue. In research (medical). Raun et al. characterised it as a GHS-R agonist with relatively selective GH release and limited ACTH/cortisol stimulation in early pharmacology compared with some older GHRPs. Not FDA-approved for clinical use under this listing. In plain English. Scientists study ipamorelin as a selective switch for the same receptor that the hunger hormone ghrelin uses, mainly to watch growth-hormone pathways in lab models. Sold for laboratory research only — not for human use.
