Identity. BPC-157 is the synthetic pentadecapeptide GEPPPGKPADDAGLV (formula ~C62H98N16O22; mass near 1419 Da), derived from a gastric protein sequence. In research (medical). Preclinical literature (e.g. Sikiric group reviews; related work indexed around PMID 25415472) reports effects in rodent models of soft-tissue injury, gut mucosal damage, and angiogenesis-related pathways. Mechanisms discussed include nitric-oxide system and growth-factor signalling modulation. BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any human indication. In plain English.
