Identity. ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-residue peptide modelled on EPO helix B (surface peptide QEQLERALNSS) that engages the innate repair receptor (EPOR/CD131) without stimulating erythropoiesis like EPO. In research (medical). Brines et al. and subsequent trials explored neuropathic and sarcoidosis-related endpoints. Not broadly FDA-approved; development status should be verified separately from this RUO listing. In plain English. Scientists study ARA-290 as a piece of erythropoietin that may trigger tissue-repair signalling without telling the body to make more red blood cells.
