Identity. PT-141 is bremelanotide, the free-acid analogue of Melanotan-2 (Ac-Nle-c[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-OH) acting mainly via MC3R/MC4R in CNS pathways. In research (medical). An FDA-approved finished drug (Vyleesi) uses bremelanotide for acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women.
