What it is
PT-141 is supplied as a lyophilized research peptide for melanocortin-receptor laboratory work. It is a different molecule from Melanotan-1 and from Melanotan-2.
Structure and sequence
Ac-Nle-cyclo(Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys)-OH. The lactam joins the aspartate side chain to the lysine side chain. The C-terminus is the carboxylic acid.
Molecular weight
Mass is near the cyclic heptapeptide range and is confirmed on the certificate of analysis. Do not substitute the amide.
